Team USA's seven teams competing in the final Challenger Series Synchronized Skating event of the season won't have to travel far.
The 2025 U.S. Synchronized Skating International Classic is set to take place at The Skating Club of Boston in Norwood, Massachusetts, Feb. 6-8. This marks just the second time, and first since 2019, that Team USA will skate on domestic ice in the Challenger Series.
All three of Team USA's senior teams – the
Haydenettes,
Skyliners and
Miami University – will be competing while the top four junior teams from last year's U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships will represent the red, white and blue:
Teams Elite,
Skyliners junior,
Team Image and the
Lexettes.
Skating at their home club, the
Haydenettes headline the U.S. delegation in the senior competition. The 31-time U.S. champions are the reigning World silver medalists, tying the best-ever result for a U.S. team at the World Championships.
The 2024 overall Challenger Series champion, the
Haydenettes secured bronze at their first Challenger Series event of the season, 2025 Dresden Cup. They have won five Challenger Series medals overall and have stood on the podium at their last three events in the series.
The
Skyliners, 2024 World Team members and the reigning U.S. silver medalists, have won a Challenger Series medal in each of their last three seasons.
They have two competitions under their belt already, starting their season with bronze at Santa Claus Cup in December. This weekend, they look for their first Challenger Series medal of the season after placing just off the podium at 2025 Mozart Cup in fourth.
Right behind the
Skyliners at Mozart Cup was
Miami University in fifth place. The RedHawks are the reigning U.S. bronze medalists.
In the junior competition,
Teams Elite enters as the 2024 overall Challenger Series champion after winning gold at both their events last season.
This weekend, they go for their fourth straight Challenger Series gold.
Teams Elite has medaled at both their international events this season, earning silver at Santa Claus Cup before winning gold at Dresden Cup.
The 2024 U.S. junior champions,
Teams Elite has seven total Challenger Series medals, the most of any U.S. team.
Skyliners junior, the reigning World junior bronze medalists who have medaled at every World Junior Championships they've attended since 2018, has five Challenger Series medals to their name.
Although they struggled at their first Challenger Series event of the season, finishing fifth,
Skyliners junior has already won a medal in international competition this season, a bronze at Santa Claus Cup.
Just off the podium at their first Challenger Series event of the season at Mozart Cup,
Team Image claimed bronze at 2025 Britannia Cup earlier this month. The team from Hackensack, New Jersey, has won two total Challenger Series medals in past seasons.
Competing for second straight weekend, the
Lexettes also return home to skate at the club they represent – The Skating Club of Boston. The
Lexettes started their international season with gold at Britannia Cup before taking fifth at their first Challenger Series, 2025 French Cup.
Hosted by U.S. Figure Skating and Hayden Synchro, this marks the first time a Challenger Series Synchronized Skating event returns to the United States since 2019 when the United States hosted the inaugural event of the series in California.
Top teams from across the world will be in attendance, including five of the six medalists from the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships 2024 and the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2024.
All competition will be streamed live on Peacock.
Competition begins Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET with the junior and senior short programs. Medals will be awarded Saturday following the junior and senior free skates, which begin at 5 p.m. ET.
The Challenger Series, which began in 2019-20, consists of up to five international competitions linked together to give adequate opportunities for synchronized skating teams to compete at the international level, earn World Standing Points and prepare for competing at the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships.
