The United States secured three spots on the podium at the 2026 Riga Amber Cup this past weekend as the
Skyliners took home bronze in the senior event and the
Lexettes and
DC EDGE stood on the podium as silver and bronze medalists, respectively.
The
Skyliners medaled for the second time this season after earning bronze at their Challenger Series assignment — 2026 Lumiere Cup — last month.
The reigning World Junior bronze medalists opened the competition with a beautiful lose control-themed short program that garnered Level 4 marks on every element. Three of their elements produced more than nine points, including their intersection worth 9.75 points en route to a season's best segment score of 75.90.
Skating to a winner-takes-it-all theme in the free skate, the
Skyliners embraced that mindset with another solid performance. The 10-time U.S. medalists achieved Level 4 distinctions on seven elements. At 10.40 points, their group lift was the second highest-scoring element of the event.
They concluded with season's best free skate and total scores of 141.97 and 217.87, respectively.
In the junior event, the
Lexettes and
DC EDGE Â have finished on the podium at every event they have competed in so far this season, and the streak continued in Latvia.
The
Lexettes took silver with 185.12 points in total.
The reigning U.S. junior bronze medalists' 64.97-point short program to "Black Book" by Ori earned Level 4s on their move element, twizzle element intersection and no hold element. They experienced two falls on their pivoting block.
Their opening move element earned a program-high 9.10 points.
In the free skate, the team that trains in Norwood, Massachusetts, opened its performance to "The Four Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi with a Level 4 synchronized spin that generated 9.10 points and went on to earn Level 4 distinctions on their intersection and traveling element. Their intersection racked up nearly 10 points for a segment score of 120.15.
DC EDGE delivered season's best scores in every event segment.
The highlight of
DC EDGE's short program to "A Million Dreams" by P!nk was their Level 4 twizzle element that received 8.40 points. Their next element, a Level 4 intersection with a Level 3 point of intersection, contributed 8.23 points to a segment score of 59.75.
Skating to music fromÂ
La La Land in the free skate,
DC EDGE generated Level 4s on their synchronized spin and traveling element. The team earned their highest points in the segment for their Level 4 intersection with a Level 3 point of intersection, which added 8.40 points to their free skate score of 101.87.
They finished with 161.62 points.
