The Haydenettes extended their medal streak at the World Championships, claiming silver at the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships 2026 on Saturday in Salzburg Austria.

The most decorated synchronized skating team in U.S. Figure Skating history took home their eighth total medal in their third consecutive podium finish. This medal also ties their best result at a World Championships; they claimed silver in 2024.

Skating to "Somewhere Only We Know" by Sons of Serendip, the 33-time and reigning U.S. champions were awarded Level 4 marks on six elements. Two of those elements — their group lift and intersection — scored more than 10 points each toward a season-best free skate score of 149.98. Their group lift received the program's highest grade of execution on a single element of 2.97, contributing to an international season-best total score of 229.28.

"It is always an incredible honor to stand on the world podium," Haydenettes team member Taylor Olender said. "Each year is so different, so it is always special to be within the top three in the world. This sport is not easy — it takes so much hard work and sacrifice, but that is what makes moments like these so special. Each year, the team is special, unique and separate from the past, which is what brings success. Old and new skaters come together with a common goal. This year, it feels extra sweet because our team has endured so many injuries and illnesses. We got through them together and kept pushing each other to keep going."'

The Skyliners finished sixth overall, matching their best result at a World Championships in 2024. The team that trains in Connecticut has finished in the top 10 every year they've competed at the World Championships.

Their "winner takes it all" themed free skate generated 135.51 points for a total score of 205.97. The performance received Level 4s on six elements. At 10.40 points, their group lift was the highest-scoring element of the program.

"The energy in the rink was electric. We couldn't have asked for a better way to culminate our season," Skyliners team member Madison Jarvis said. "The emotions came flooding in throughout our skate and I am extremely proud of how we came together tonight. If anything, our performance at this World Championships has lit a fire that will fuel us into next season, and I couldn't be more excited about it."
