Wolfkostin and Tsarevski Claim Silver at World Junior Championships

Lin-Gracey within reach of women’s podium after short program

Katarina Wolfkostin and Dimitry Tsarevski earned silver on the second day of the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships in Debrecen, Hungary.

Skating at their first World Junior Championships, Wolfkostin and Tsarevski have medaled at every international event they've competed at this season.

The 2024 Junior Grand Prix Final silver medalists' skate to "One Day I'll Fly Away" and "The Show Must Go On" from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack was highlighted by a diagonal step sequence worth 10.15 points. They also secured Level 4 marks on four elements to collect 101.80 in the free dance and a total score of 167.51.

Also representing the United States, siblings Caroline Mullen and Brendan Mullen executed two Level 4 lifts en route to a free dance score of 91.93 and total score of 153.76, finishing sixth overall.

In seventh after the rhythm dance, Hana Maria Aboian and Daniil Veselukhin moved up to sixth in the free skate, tallying a free dance score of 93.57 points. The high note of their program was a Level 4 combination lift, which was awarded 13.37 points and was the third-highest scoring element of the competition. The 2025 U.S. junior ice dance champions scored a two-day total of 153.21 points, landing them in seventh place.

In the women's event, Elyce Lin-Gracey leads the U.S. field in fourth place with 66.11 points. She opened with her strongest element – a triple loop-triple toe loop combination, which was awarded 11.28 points. The 2024 Nebelhorn Trophy gold medalist's performance set to "Broken Vow" by Lara Fabian achieved positive grades of execution on every element.

Sophie Joline von Felten finished 23rd with a score of 53.93.

Competition continues Friday with the pairs short program and the men's free skate, which will determine who takes home the World Junior men's title.
