Spring Cup 2020 Gets Underway This Week

Team USA will send four teams to compete at Spring Cup 2020 in Milan, Italy. The event is scheduled for Feb. 14 -16 and is the fourth and final event in the debut season of the Challenger Series Synchronized Skating.

The Crystallettes will compete in their second Challenger Series event of the season, having placed 8th at Leon Lurje Trophy in January. The Michigan-based team placed third at Spring Cup in 2019. The Skyliners won gold at Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy in mid-January and look to repeat their performance in Milan. The Skyliners have not competed at Spring Cup since 2013, where they placed fourth.

In the junior division, the Lexettes and Teams Elite will take the ice. The Massachusetts-based Lexettes earned the silver medal at Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy earlier this season. Teams Elite will be hoping to improve on their fifth-place finish at French Cup 2020 two weeks ago. The team won Spring Cup's junior division last season in their first season competing internationally.
