7. You never know who you'll see at the Olympics. Mirai Nagasu met singer Rachel Platten at the USA House, a definite photo opp.

I told @rachelplatten that "Fight Song" is one of my go to songs before I compete because the lyrics are perfect and really speak to me. I'm just dying that Rachel deigned to put my medal on. It's been touched by greatness. #theolympicdream #celebritycrush #pyeongchang2018 #2018 #rachelplatten #fightsong

It is hard to explain the love I have for the people in this photo. The team at @patinagemontrealinternational have taught me many things, on and off the ice. And sometimes, it was hard to know the reason behind the lessons. But as the medal slipped away from us this week, I realized what all of our work had been for. They made me a Champion. Thank you all, for giving me a love for this sport, and for myself, that no one will ever be able to take away. #love #champion #attitude #pride #energy #strong @_proskate @zachtdonohue

10. Adam Rippon brought his mom to tears by surprising and presenting her with the Order of Ikkos for the years of sacrifice to get to the pinnacle of sport.

‪When you medal at the Olympics, the USOC presents you with the Order of Ikkos (a medal for you to present to your coach). I consider Rafael, Derrick, Vera, and Nadia my family. They couldn't be at the presentation so I changed it up and got to award this medal to my mom ❤️‬
