U.S. Figure Skating's two most decorated junior synchronized skating teams travel to Gdansk, Poland, this week for the ISU Synchronized Skating Junior World Championships 2026 taking place March 13-14.
Last season, both
Teams Elite junior and
Skyliners junior stood on the Junior World Championships podium with gold and bronze, respectively. It marked the second time that the United States has had two teams on the podium after these same two teams did so in 2022.
In addition,
Teams Elite junior made history last season as the U.S. first synchronized skating team to win a gold medal at a World Championships – at any level – when they secured the Junior World title.
Fresh off their third straight U.S. title last week,
Teams Elite junior travels to Poland as the favorite to repeat. Undefeated since January of 2025, the team from Northbrook, Illinois, won both their Challenger Series events this season to top the series standings.
Six-time Junior World medalists,
Skyliners junior have stood on the podium at this event every year they've attended since 2018 (they withdrew in 2020 after the COVID-19 pandemic hit and the event was canceled in 2021).
The team that trains in Fairfield, Connecticut, has medaled at every event they've competed at this season, including bronze and silver at their two Challenger Series events before securing silver at the U.S. Championships.
Competition begins Friday with the junior short program at 12 p.m. ET. Medals will be awarded after the free skates on Saturday, which kick off at 9 a.m. ET.
Fans can watch every skate from the Junior World Championships on the
