Teams Elite junior continues to be unbeatable, winning their third straight junior title at the 2026 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships Thursday in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The reigning World Junior champions are undefeated dating back to the beginning of 2025.

Skyliners junior secured their third straight silver medal while the Northernettes clinched their first-ever U.S. Championships medal with bronze. Team Image claimed the pewter for the second straight year.

In the adult division, DC EDGE successfully defended their title, while Ice Denettes Tenacity earned their program's first-ever gold in any division when they stood atop the podium in masters at the U.S. Championships.

Teams Elite junior Continues Winning Streak
It was a battle of the "Carmens" for gold in the junior event.

Separated by just over a point after the short program, both Teams Elite junior and Skyliners junior skated to music from Carmen.

Teams Elite junior emerged victorious, tallying 141.53 points in the free skate for a total score of 222.75, which is the highest-ever total score in the history of the junior event at the U.S. Championships by more than 17 points.

The team out of Northbrook, Illinois, becomes just the fourth junior team to win three straight titles, joining Skyliners junior (2017-20), the Chicago Jazz (2001-03) and Starlettes (1995-97). After being founded in 2018, Teams Elite junior has medaled at every U.S. Championships they've competed at since their debut in 2019.

Earning the highest element score by more than four points, Teams Elite junior was awarded Level 4 marks on five elements and every element generated a grade of execution of 1.77 or higher. Both their intersections tallied a GOE of over 3.00 with both adding more than 10 points to their total score.

"[It feels] pretty unreal. We have no words," said Addison Keith, who has skated with Teams Elite for nine years. "We did really well with our preparation, and we thought about being here for ourselves and feeling proud about how we're going to skate and not focus on the outcome. Being here for ourselves and our team and how much we love skating with our team."

The most decorated junior team in the history of the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships with seven U.S. titles, Skyliners junior earned their third straight silver at this event and has finished in the top three every year since 2015.

The reigning World junior bronze medalists and six-time total World Junior medalists set the new highest-ever score at the U.S. Championships prior to Teams Elite junior taking the ice with a total of 216.88.

They also recorded more than 10 points for both their intersections, claiming 136.70 points for their free skate.

"It felt, honestly, really rewarding because we worked so hard this whole season," said Diana Balkovski, who has skated with the Skyliners organization for 10 seasons. "I think we all felt on the ice that we were skating together. It just felt great on the ice, and when we got our score, it felt even better because it showed that our hard work paid off."

After giving four incredible performances, both Teams Elite junior and Skyliners junior are set to represent the U.S. at World Junior Championships in Gdansk, Poland, next week. Last year, both stood on the podium with gold and bronze.

The Northernettes also made history in Utah, winning their first junior medal at the U.S. Championships with new season's best free skate and total scores.

Skating to "The Long and Winding Road" by Gorvado and telling the story of their team and overcoming obstacles, the Northernettes came out strong with Level 4s on their first three elements with all scoring more than nine points. They finished the segment with 124.95 points for a two-day total of 195.48 points, their best-ever score at the U.S. Championships.

"We've been working for this for nine years, so [its] an accomplishment for this organization," said Lauren Boss Krohn on standing on the podium. "We're really proud of the run we just put out."

Keeping their medal streak alive, Team Image has medaled at every U.S. Championships since 2022.

Their program with a "The Life of Bach" theme secured Level 4s on five elements, but they had a fall on their final element. They concluded the day with 121.15 points and 191.76 points in the final standings.

"It feels really good," Siena Lahr from Team Image said. "We truly wanted to build our legacy and remain at the top of the nation, and I think we really put out everything today."

DC EDGE Clinches Back-to Back Adult Titles with Hypnotic Performance
DC EDGE mesmerized the crowd with their hypnosis-themed performance to win their second straight and seventh total gold in the adult event.

With eight members having skated on the team for 10 or more years, their chemistry on the ice was apparent as they generated Level 4 marks on three elements – their rotating circle element, intersection and traveling element.

Their score of 74.42 was two points higher than second place.

Securing their third consecutive podium finish at the U.S. Championships, Esprit de Corps took home silver. Their Level 4 intersection with a Level 4 point of intersection was the highest-scoring element of the competition at 8.68 points.

Looking like they were having a blast during their program with a theme of "time of our lives," Esprit de Corps tallied 72.35 points.

The team from the Hayden Synchro program is the winningest adult team in the history of the U.S. Championships with 13 golds.

The Crystallettes of Dearborn, Michigan, garnered 68.86 points to claim bronze. The team has stood on the podium at the U.S. Championships every year the event has been held since 2017.

Skating to a "celestial" theme, The Crystallettes collected 7.43 points for their Level 3 intersection with a Level 3 point of intersection.

California Gold secured their third pewter in the last four years with a score of 66.76. Skating to a "derby day" theme, the team out of Artesia, California, built momentum at the end of the program with Level 4s on their intersection and traveling element. The intersection was awarded a GOE of 1.20, the highest GOE of any element in the competition.

Ice Denettes Tenacity Achieves Redemption
The Ice Denettes Tenacity had one thing on their mind going into this season: redemption.

After securing their first-ever medal in any division at the U.S. Championships in 2024 with bronze, they missed the U.S. Championships last year after having a costume failure and placing fifth at the 2025 Pacific Coast Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships.

Now they're the U.S. champions.

Skating a "redemption" themed program, the team representing the Desert Ice Skating Club of Arizona earned a Level 4 distinction on their intersection element at the end of their program. Their mixed element was their highest-scoring element at 4.74 points.

Their score of 55.60 was the team's best-ever point total at the U.S. Championships.

Esprit de Corps secured silver with 54.33 points, their second medal in the last three years. They opened their "move it!" themed program with an artistic line element, which was the highest-scoring element of the event at 4.86 points. They were also awarded a Level 4 for their intersection element.

The team that trains out of Norwood, Massachusetts, is the winningest masters team in the history of the U.S. Championships with 10 titles.

The Colonials upgraded their pewter medal from 2025 to bronze in Utah, marking their best-ever finish at the U.S. Championships.  The highlight of their program set to an Aerosmith medley was an artistic wheel element, which added 4.63 points to their highest-ever score at the U.S. Championships of 53.03 points.

DC EDGE secured pewter with 51.07 points, continuing their streak of medaling at every U.S. Championships except one since 2009.
