For the first time since 2005, U.S. ice dance teams swept the podium at the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships 2026 in Beijing, China, on Friday.
Emilea Zingas and Vadym Kolesnik,
Caroline Green and Michael Parsons, and
Oona Brown and Gage Brown earned gold, silver and bronze, respectively.
This marks only the second time in history that a country has swept the ice dance podium at Four Continents since the event began in 1999. The first to accomplish this feat were the United States' Tanith Belbin and Benjamin Agosto, gold; Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov, silver; and Lydia Manon and Ryan O'Meara, bronze.
Zingas and Kolesnik, recently nominated to the 2026 U.S. Olympic Team, posted international personal best free dance and overall scores of 122.89 and 202.86, respectively.
Performing to music from the ballet "Romeo and Juliet," the U.S. silver medalists showed again that they are Olympic-ready.
The reigning U.S. silver medalists received Level 4s for their synchronized twizzles, dance spin and rotational-stationary combination lift that generated an event-best 14.47 points. Their diagonal step sequence garnered them 11.04 points.
Their program component score of 53.28 topped the field, with their presentation mark averaging 9.0.
This marks their first podium finish in their third appearance at the event.
Green and Parsons, the four-time and reigning U.S. pewter medalists, finished third in the free dance with a score of 116.06 en route to an overall total of 194.72 points.
The 2022 Four Continents champions, Green and Parsons performed to "Escalate" by Tsar B and "Son of Nyx" by Hozier.
Partners since 2019, they earned Level 4 credit for their dance spin, rotational lift, synchronized twizzles and curve lift, which generated a program-high 14.19 points.
The Browns, performing to music from
The Godfather, posted international personal best scores for their free dance, 116.54, and overall with 190.78 points. They finished second in the free dance.
A team for more than a decade, the sibling duo received Level 4s for their three lifts, dance spin and synchronized twizzles.
Bradie Tennell, the 2025 Four Continents silver medalist, posted season-best international free skate and overall scores to jump from seventh after the short program to fourth overall.
Skating to music
The Mission soundtrack, Tennell shone brightly with her three Level 4 spins. She received deductions on three jumping passes but earned a program-high 9.25 points for her triple loop-double Axel sequence.
Tennell finished with a free skate score of 133.21 and an overall total of 199.37 to pace the U.S. women.
Sarah Everhardt, fifth after the short program, struggled with her jumping passes early in her free skate to music from theÂ
Poor Things soundtrack. Her highest-scoring element was a triple loop-double Axel sequence in the second half of the program that produced a score of 9.79.
The 2025 Four Continents bronze medalist posted a free skate score of 115.21, 11th In the segment. Her overall score was 182.72.
Starr Andrews, likely competing in singles for the final time, finished 15th with a free skate score of 94.92 and an overall total of 160.74.
On Saturday, the men's event kicks off and medals will be awarded following the pairs free skate. Competition concludes Sunday with the men's free skate.
