One senior team and two junior teams will represent U.S. Figure Skating at 2026 Lumiere Cup – the second Challenger Series Synchronized Skating event of the season – taking place Jan. 22-24 in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

The Skyliners will be the sole U.S. entry in the senior event while Fond du Lac Blades and Team Image will represent the United States in the junior competition.

The reigning U.S. bronze medalists, the Skyliners will make their international season debut in Eindhoven. Their first appearance internationally since competing last April at the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships last April, where they placed eighth, the Skyliners have previously won three Challenger Series medals, but look to stand on the podium for the first time since the 2024 season.

Team Image, two-time Challenger Series medalists, will skate at their second international competition of the season. The reigning U.S. pewter medalists placed sixth at 2025 Santa Claus Cup in December. They will also be vying for their first Challenger Series podium since 2024 when they brought home bronze from this very event.

Competing back-to-back weekends, the Fond du Lac Blades secured bronze this past weekend at 2026 Hevelius Cup. This weekend marks just their fourth appearance at a Challenger Series event. Last season, the Wisconsin-based team earned their best result at a Challenger Series event with fourth.

Competition begins Friday, Jan. 23 with the junior and senior short programs. Medals will be awarded after the free skates on Saturday, Jan. 24.

The Challenger Series, which began in 2019-20, consists of up to five international competitions linked together to give adequate opportunities for synchronized skating teams to compete at the international level, earn World Standing Points and prepare for competing at the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships.
