PARKING
There is free parking available in the main lot on the south side of the building, which can be accessed through the entrance on Decker Lake Drive.

MEDIA ENTRANCE
Media will enter through the ADA entrance on the south side of the building. Media will then take the elevator up to level 3 to access the concourse. Once on the concourse, go to the left to access the media area, photo positions and mixed zone.

ACCREDITATION PICKUP INFO
Accreditation will be located just inside the main entrance. The main entrance to the building is directly to the right of the ADA entrance on the south side of the building. 

Media arriving for the first time should enter through the main entrance. For all subsequent entries, please use the ADA entrance.

ONSITE MEDIA ACCOMMODATIONS

Venue Hours
Maverik Center will open one hour prior to the first practice of the day and close two hours after the conclusion of the final event. 

  • Wednesday, March 4: 9 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 5: 8 a.m.-10:35 p.m.
  • Friday, March 6: 8:30 a.m.-10:15 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 7: 6:45 a.m.-11:30 p.m.

Media Work Area/Press Tribune
The media work area and press tribune will be located a few rows down from the concourse in sections 113 and 114. All media will enter through the concourse and walk down the few steps to the media tribune.

There will be starting orders and results for media located in the media work area/press tribune.

Hospitality
Water and light snacks will be provided Wednesday through Sunday in the media area.

Mixed Zone
All interaction with athletes and coaches at the 2026 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships will take place in the mixed zone.

To access the mixed zone, use the stairs in section 112/113, and go left at the end of the stands. Follow the hallway and the room to access to the mixed zone will be around the corner on the left.

Photographer Positions
Ice Level
Ice-level photo positions are available to the left of the officials stand in the first two rows closest to the ice in section 112. Enter from the concourse at sections 112/113 and walk down the stairs. All seats in the first two rows of section 112 are available and are first-come, first-served unless it is specifically marked as reserved with a photo position sticker. 

Mid Level
Mid-level photo positions are available in the media area a few rows down from the concourse in sections 113 and 114. 

INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITIES
All interaction with athletes and coaches at the 2026 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships will take place in the mixed zone.

Practice Interviews 
Those wishing to interview skaters in the mixed zone after a practice session should email Kristen Henneman (khenneman@usfigureskating.org) at least two hours before the practice session. Athletes will be brought in by request only. 

U.S. Figure Skating communications staff will facilitate interviews after practice in the mixed zone. Practice session interviews will NOT be recorded.

Mixed Zone Interviews
Athletes and coaches will be brought through the mixed zone by request only. Media can submit their requested athletes in person or via email to Kristen Henneman (khenneman@usfigureskating.org). Requested athletes will "come through" the mixed zone after receiving scores. A member of the U.S. Figure Skating communications staff will moderate on-site. The moderator will hold the athlete(s) for a minute in the mixed zone. If there are no questions for a certain athlete, the athlete(s) will be permitted to leave. Please be ready to ask a question after the athlete has received scores.

One-on-One Interviews
All one-on-one media requests will be facilitated on a case-by-case basis. Please email Kristen Henneman (khenneman@usfigureskating.orgAND Abby Farrell (afarrell@usfigureskating.org) with specific requests.

EVENT PHOTOS
U.S. Figure Skating will have photos available for media to use after all competition events. Please send photo requests to Abby Farrell (afarrell@usfigureskating.org). All photos must be credited to "Cynthia Slawter Photography/U.S. Figure Skating" and must adhere to media usage guidelines (editorial use only, credit must be given).

FILMING
No filming of competition or the field of play is allowed. 

There may be opportunities for media to film b-roll during practice as well as interviews in the mixed zone. All media wishing to film anywhere inside the arena must be accompanied by a member of U.S. Figure Skating at all times. Please reach out to Kristen Henneman with any filming requests.

Amount of Content
An aggregate maximum of six (6) minutes of practice footage may be used per day, per outlet. 

Number of News Programs/Digital Stories, Length and Separation of News Programs/Digital Stories

  • No more than thirty (30) consecutive seconds may be used in any one news program/digital story.
  • No more than two (2) minutes of total practice footage may be used in any one news program/digital story.
  • News programs/digital stories must each be separated by a period of at least three (3) hours.
  • Practice footage may appear in no more than three (3) News programs/digital stories per day.
