NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT TEAM
The National Development Team consists of singles, pairs and ice dance athletes who qualified and attended the National Development Camp. Athletes are on the team for one season, which runs from the conclusion of their participation in the National Development Camp to the conclusion of the Sectional Challenge and U.S. Pairs Final or U.S. Ice Dance Final, the following season. Athlete and coaching members of the team are eligible for various events throughout the season. These events may include, but are not limited to, becoming members of the Athlete High Performance Development Pool (AHPDP), participating in international competitions, seminars and camps, observing ISU Championships events or Junior Grand Prixes (JGP), selection to North American Cup (NAC) or Challenge Skate, invitations to athlete development camps (Athlete Acceleration Summit/Jump On It! Camp), invitations to high performance camps and training programs (singles, pairs and ice dance), funding opportunities, and coaching development programs.
Athletes who qualify for the National Development Team will have an opportunity to perform in the camp and potentially earn one of the above listed developmental opportunities.
