The pairs team of Reagan Moss and Jakub Galbavy and the ice dance team of Aneta Vaclavikova and William Lissauer earned the United States its first medals of the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series on Saturday by each securing silver at JGP Latvia.

Thirteen members of the U.S. Junior National Team competed inside the Volvo Sports Centre at the second of seven JGP events in Riga.

Moss and Galbavy, two-time and reigning U.S. junior champions, earned their first JGP medal with a score of 145.28.

The Minnesota-based team placed second in their short program to the pop anthem "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire. A Level 4 lift, Level 4 spin and strong throw triple loop helped them generate a segment score of 56.32.

For their free skate to the power ballad "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" by Celine Dion, the duo executed a Level 4 lift but had a fall on their fall triple loop. Nevertheless, they tallied a segment score of 88.96 to earn a podium finish. 

This is the third season they have competed in the JGP Series and fifth JGP competition.

Siblings Juliet Meek and Devin Meek placed eighth overall in their JGP debut with an international personal best score of 117.26.

The team that trains in Jacksonville, Florida, earned an international-personal-best score of 44.27 for their short program to "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescense, which earned positive grades of execution on all but one element. They placed seventh in the segment.

On day two of competition, their free skate to "Immortal Megamix" by Michael Jackson generated 72.99 points. Their highest-scoring element was a Level 4 lift worth 5.46 points.

Also competing for the first time in the JGP Series, Julianne Wong and Jared McPike placed 10th with an overall score of 103.57.

Competing together internationally for the first time, the team tallied 38.71 and 64.86 points in the short program and free skate, respectively.

Vaclavikova and Lissauer, who started their partnership in March 2025, posted international-personal-best scores of 159.04 overall and 62.73 for their rhythm dance en route to their first JGP medal.

They placed second in both segments.

The Connecticut-based team's rhythm dance to "Young and Beautiful" by Lana Del Ray and "A Little Party Never Killed Nobody" by Fergie, Q-Tip and GoonRock was highlighted by Level 4 sequential twizzles and a Level 4 rotational lift.

Their free skate to "Moonlight Sonata" by Ludwig van Beethoven produced 96.31 points. They earned Level 4 credit for their straight-line/rotational lift, synchronized twizzles and dance spin.

New Jersey-based Rylen Lukanin and Patrick O'Brien finished 12th overall with a score of 122.37. The event marked their JGP debut.

Lukanin and O'Brien opened with a rhythm dance score of 48.81, then went on to generate an international-personal-best free dance score of 73.56.

Skylar Lautowa-Peguero, 13, delivered two outstanding programs in her Junior Grand Prix Series debut, placing fifth overall.

The New Jersey-based skater posted personal-best scores across the board en route to an overall total of 187.56 points, her best score in international competition. She received positive grades of execution on 16 of 17 elements.

Her high-energy Latin-themed short program to the iconic song "1-2-3" by Gloria Estefan included three Level 4 spins and a Level 4 step sequence. Her triple loop-triple toe loop combination earned 10.71 points. The skater's short program score of 67.01 was nearly 20 more than her previous best.

The 2025 U.S. junior silver medalist carried that momentum into her melancholic and reflective free skate to songs "Pilgrims on a Long Journey" by Coeur de Pirate and "Migrating Birds" by Brice Davoli.

Lautowa-Peguero placed fifth in the free skate with 120.55 points. She executed seven triple jumps, two in combination, and performed two Level 4 spins.

In the men's event, Caleb Farrington finished eighth across the board and posted an overall score of 185.27.

In his short program to songs that featured vibrant celebrations of African and Brazilian roots, he executed two Level 4 spins en route to a segment score of 65.07.

His dramatic free skate set to "The Strange One" by Abel Korzeniowski, "Science and Religion" by Hans Zimmer and "November" by Max Richter generated 120.20 points and included a program-best 15.59 points for his triple Lutz-triple toe loop-Euler-triple Salchow combination.

The Delaware-based skater fell on his opening triple Axel in both programs and received a two-point deduction for a time violation in his free skate.

The 2026 U.S. junior silver medalist is competing in his second Junior Grand Prix season, having earned a bronze medal at JGP Azerbaijan in 2025.
His teammate Daniel Koppel finished 14th overall, producing a total score of 166.89.
 
The New York-based skater made a big splash in his Junior Grand Prix debut, scoring 55.68 points for his dark and edgy short program and 111.21 points for his blissful and calm-feeling free skate.
