Hana Maria Aboian and Daniil Veselukhin moved a step closer to an undefeated season by winning the rhythm dance on Friday at the ISU Figure Skating Junior World Championships 2026 in Tallinn, Estonia.
The two-time and reigning U.S. junior ice dance champions have won six consecutive competitions and haven't lost since placing seventh at the 2025 Junior World Championships.
The Connecticut-based team entertained the audience at the Tondiraba Ice Hall with their performance to Madonna's classic "Vogue."
Their flawless performance earned them a Level 4 credit for their rotational lift and synchronized twizzles.
Aboian and Veselukhin's current season includes a victory at the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final last December. They've won a total of five JGP medals since their partnership began in December 2023.
Jasmine Robertson and Chase Rohner, who joined forces a little more than one year ago, posted a score of 59.16 for their routine to upbeat dance anthems "Groove Is in the Heart" by Deee-Lite and "100% Pure Love" by Crystal Waters.
They finished their routine with a Level 4 rotational lift and earned a program-high 9.76 points for their midline step sequence, which was also the second highest score in the field of 30 teams. They placed seventh in the segment.
The 2026 U.S. junior silver medalists arrived in Estonia having turned in a stellar first season together, placing at both of their Junior Grand Prix Series event and qualifying for the Junior Grand Prix Final.Â
Michelle Deych and Ryan Hu, performing to a pair of Ricky Martin hits, generated a score of 50.78 and are 13th heading into the free dance.
The reigning U.S. junior pewter medalists earned Level 4s for their synchronized twizzles and rotational lift.
Deych and Hu, who train with Robertson and Rohner in Novi, Michigan, have competed in three JGP Series events over the past two seasons, claiming fourth in Thailand this season for their best-ever finish.
Jacob Sanchez capped his breakout season by repeating as the fourth-place finisher at the Junior World Championships.Â
Skating to an intense and powerful medley of songs by composer Max Richter and Ros Stephen, Sanchez delivered a free skate score of 148.07 and an overall total of 229.10.
The New York-based athlete opened by landing a triple Axel-triple toe loop combination, a triple Axel and a triple Lutz which generated a combined 29.02 points. His triple Lutz-double Axel-double Axel sequence earned a program-high 14.68 points for a single element. He received Level 4s for his three spins. He placed fifth in the segment.
Sanchez finished fourth as a senior-level skater at the 2026 U.S. Figure Skating Championships and then represented the U.S. at the Four Continents Championships. He is the 2024 Junior Grand Prix Final champion.
Lucius Kazanecki, the 2025 Junior Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, performed his free skate to the passionate and melancholic song "Adios Nonino" by Forever Tango.
Kazanecki produced a free skate score of 144.47 and an overall total of 219.36. He placed seventh in the segment and sixth overall.
The 2024 U.S. junior champion opened with a huge quad toe loop-triple toe loop combination, a quad toe loop and a triple Axel, which produced a combined 34.96 points. He received Level 4s on his three spins.
With their combined finish of fourth and sixth, Sanchez and Kazanecki earned the U.S. three men's spots at next year's Junior World Championships.
Competition wraps on Saturday with the free dance followed by the junior women's free skate.
