Fourteen of the United States' top junior skaters will compete at the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2026 at the Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn, Estonia, March 3-8.
U.S. Figure Skating will have two entries each in the women's, men's and pairs disciplines and the full three entries in ice dance. The U.S. contingent includes eight skaters — one woman, one man, both pairs and one ice dance team — who have competed at this event in the past while six will make their World Junior Championships debut.
An experienced group in the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series, the 14 U.S. skaters have combined for 17 Junior Grand Prix medals and four Junior Grand Prix Final podium finishes.
Hana Maria Aboian and Daniil Veselukhin will attempt to cap a perfect season when they take the ice in Tallinn. The Connecticut-based ice dance team hasn't lost since placing seventh at the 2025 World Junior Championships. The two-time and reigning U.S. junior champions won both of their Junior Grand Prix Series events in 2025 as well as the Junior Grand Prix Final. They've won a total of five JGP medals.
The teams of
Jasmine Robertson and Chase Rohner and
Michelle Deych and Ryan Hu will make their World Junior debuts.
Standing next to Aboian and Veselukhin on the U.S. Championships junior podium with silver, Robertson and Rohner produced a sterling debut season after teaming up in January of 2025, earning medals at both of their Junior Grand Prix events and qualifying for the JGP Final.
Deych and Hu, who train in Michigan, have competed in three JGP Series events over the past two seasons, claiming fourth in Thailand this season for their best-ever finish. They finished sixth in the junior ranks at the 2026 U.S Championships.
Jacob Sanchez, the reigning U.S. pewter medalist at the senior level, will compete for the third time at the World Junior Championships. The skater from New York finished just off the podium in fourth at the event in 2025. Sanchez is the 2024 JGP Final champion and competed on the junior international circuit from 2021 through 2024.
Lucius Kazanecki, who has competed as a junior internationally since 2022, arrives having earned the bronze medal at the 2025 ISU Junior Grand Prix Final in December. The 2024 U.S. junior titlist, who trains in Virginia, secured gold and bronze medals at his two JGP events in 2025.
In the women's competition,
Sophie Joline von Felten returns to the World Junior Championships, having placed 18th in her event debut in 2025. Sixth at the 2026 U.S. Championships as a senior, the Boston-based skater competed on the JGP circuit the past two seasons, earning a pair of bronze medals at JGP Poland and JGP Turkey in 2025.
Reigning U.S. junior champion
Angela Shao will make her event debut in Tallinn. The Colorado Springs-based skater finished third and sixth in her two JGP events last autumn.
Leading the U.S. pairs,
Olivia Flores and Luke Wang return for their third World Junior Championships. The pairs team from Colorado Springs, Colorado, garnered the silver medal at the event in 2024 and are the 2024 U.S. junior pairs champions as well as the 2024 Junior Grand Prix Final. They competed internationally in the junior ranks in 2023 and 2024, winning a total of five JGP medals.
Reagan Moss and Jakub Galbavy, who became the first team in U.S. Figure Skating history to win consecutive U.S. junior pairs titles in 2025 and 2026, also return to this event, having finished 17th in 2025. The Minnesota-based team competed on the JGP circuit in 2024 and 2025.
Competition begins Wednesday with the junior pairs short program followed by the junior men's short program. On Thursday, the junior women take the ice for the first time for the short program followed by the junior pairs free skate. On Friday, the rhythm dance kicks things off, followed by the junior men's free skate.
Competition wraps up on Saturday with the junior women's free skate followed by the free dance.
