Reigning U.S. champion and Olympic gold medalist Amber Glenn has withdrawn from Skate America as she continues to wow crowds on season 35 of the hit reality TV show Dancing with the Stars, leading the way for three up-and-coming women's competitors to make their Grand Prix debuts for the United States.

Last season, Gasparotto became the eighth U.S. woman and first-ever Black woman to land a triple Axel in competition. She opened her 2026-27 season campaign with a ninth-place finish at 2026 Kinoshita Group Cup.

The 2024 U.S. junior champion, Higase-Chen captured bronze at the 2026 Cranberry Cup International in August followed by a fourth-place result at 2026 Nebelhorn Trophy.

Von Felten, the 2025 U.S. junior champion, is expected to officially make her Grand Prix debut at Cup of China earlier in November before competing at Skate America. Last season, she earned two bronze medals in the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series and finished sixth at the 2026 U.S. Championships. She opened her 2026-27 season with a fourth-place finish at the 2026 Nepela Memorial Trophy.

Martynov will also make his Grand Prix debut, joining Ilia Malinin and Jason Brown in the men's competition. The 2026 Cranberry Cup International silver medalist concluded the 2025-26 season with gold medals at Skate Berlin International and Coupe du Printemps. Most recently, he placed fifth at 2026 Lombardia Trophy.

McBeath and Nagy bring previous Grand Prix experience to Skate America as they prepare to make their series debut as a team in the pairs event. The new partnership has already earned a medal in international competition, taking bronze at the John Nicks Pairs Challenge earlier this season.

Fellow new pairs team Shin and Howe will make their own Grand Prix team debut. The team is off to a hot start in 2026, capturing silver medals at both the John Nicks Pairs Challenge and Nebelhorn Trophy.

Neset and Markelov will return to Skate America for the first time since their fifth-place finish in 2024. The ice dancers earned a top-10 finish at Skate Canada International in 2025. In the new season, the team earned bronze and placed fifth at the Lake Placid Ice Dance International and Nebelhorn Trophy, respectively.

Wolfkostin and Tsarevski will compete in their second season on the Grand Prix circuit after placing fifth in their debut at NHK Trophy in 2025. So far this season they have earned sixth at Nebelhorn Trophy and 11th at Kinoshita Group Cup.

The Grand Prix Series consists of six international competitions, with athletes earning points and prize money based on their results. Athletes can compete at a maximum of two Grand Prix events. At the conclusion of the series, the top six women, men, pairs teams and ice dance teams in the standings qualify for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2026, set for Dec. 10-13 in Chongqing, China.
