More than 180 athletes will compete for the title of U.S. champion at the 2025 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships, set to take place Jan. 20-26 in Wichita, Kansas.

The first time the U.S. Championships has been held in the state of Kansas, titles will be on the line in the women's, men's, pairs and ice dance disciplines at both the championship and junior levels, as well as in novice pairs and ice dance.  

All four reigning U.S. champions at the championships level will return to defend their crown. Reigning and two-time World champions Madison Chock and Evan Bates will compete for a record-tying sixth career U.S. title in ice dance while 2024 World champion Ilia Malinin will go for his third consecutive title in the men's event. Amber Glenn and Ellie Kam and Danny O'Shea will look to earn back-to-back gold in the women's and pairs events, respectively.

In the junior division, history can be made in the pairs event. Olivia Flores and Luke Wang have their sights set on becoming the first-ever junior pairs team to win back-to-back titles at this event.

Adding to the excitement, the U.S. Championships will serve as the final event before the World Championships, Four Continents and World Junior Championships teams are selected.

Competition gets underway for novice and junior events Tuesday, Jan. 21 while the championship-level events kick off Thursday, Jan. 23.

All junior and championship-level events will be streamed live on Peacock. Events can be accessed on Peacock for 72 hours following their conclusion. Novice events will be livestreamed on the U.S. Figure Skating YouTube page.

Championship events will be televised with over 15 hours of live coverage on USA and NBC throughout the week. This includes live coverage on NBC of the final groups of the men's short program and the free dance on Saturday, Jan. 25 and the men's free skate on Sunday, Jan. 26. At the conclusion of the Championships, nearly 150 up-and-coming athletes at the juvenile, intermediate and novice levels will participate in the 2025 National Development Camp, set for Jan. 27-28. This invite-only camp features on and off-ice training sessions led by experienced staff of coaches and industry experts, along with an opportunity for athletes to showcase their skills in a consistency competition judged by the country's top officials. Athletes are also invited to observe the championship-level events starting Thursday.
