Tentative Schedule

Day 1: Friday, April 17

8:00 a.m.

Training begins for all attendees:

  • Element ID Training
  • GOEs
  • Program Components

Day 2: Saturday, April 18

All Day

Training continues with practice judging and discussion of videos.

Day 3: Sunday, April 19

8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Choose Your Own Reviews

11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Element ID Assessment for those testing for appointment.

2:00 p.m. and later

Departure for those testing. Education-only attendees may depart any time Sunday.

Note: An introductory educational video conference session will be offered 3-4 weeks prior to the seminar (recorded for those unable to attend). A more specific agenda will be provided after candidates are officially accepted to the seminar.

*Disciplines may be cancelled if minimum registration is not met.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age by the first day of the seminar.
  • Be a current member in good standing of U.S. Figure Skating and meet all compliance requirements. (Learn to Skate USA membership does not fulfill the membership requirement)
  • Hold one or more appointments as a judge OR be registered as a trial judge.

Disciplines run concurrently. If applying for both Singles/Pairs and Ice Dance, you must submit separate applications.

Education Only $150

Cost Includes:

  • National faculty
  • Two days of intensive IJS training
  • Testing for initial appointment or advancement
  • Networking opportunities

Travel, hotel, and meals are the responsibility of the attendee.

FLIGHT BOOKING ADVISORY: we recommend holding off booking flights until you are officially accepted to the seminar. If you choose to book your flights earlier, U.S. Figure Skating will not be responsible for any costs you may incur if you are not accepted to the seminar.

Application & Acceptance

Applications are due by Sunday, February 1, 2026 and must be completed online.

SPACE IS LIMITED. No one will be notified of acceptance until the deadline has passed, and all applications have been reviewed. All applicants will be notified of acceptance no later than Monday, February 16, 2026. Payment will only be requested after acceptance.
