2019 ISU Four Continents Media Info

We look forward to working with you throughout the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships 2019. This page has important information that will help you in covering the event. This site will be updated throughout the event and will link to press conference audio, quick quotes, and more. Please do not share this link.

Entering the Honda Center
Media can access the Honda Center from the NE entrance. Credentials can be picked up at the NW entrance. Media will not be able to enter the arena from the NW entrance. After getting a credential, please exit the building and enter at the NE entrance. Once inside, take the elevator to the service level. There will be signs directing media to the work room, media seating and mixed zone.

Parking
There are a limited number of parking passes for media at Honda Center. Parking passes are only necessary for competition days; there will be available parking for all on practice days (Tuesday/Wednesday). Please contact Michael Terry to request a parking passes. Parking is open to all at Great Park Ice and FivePoint Arena.

Media Transportation
If you are staying at the TownPlace Suites Anaheim, please speak to the hotel front desk about the media shuttle to the Honda Center.
If you are not staying at the TownePlace Suites Anaheim, there are a number of ways to get to the arena. Click here to review transportation options.

Venues
All competition will take place at the Honda Center. Practice will be split between the Honda Center and Great Park Ice and FivePoint Arena. The media shuttle will only go to the Honda Center.

Photo Positions and Photo Draw
Photo positions will be determined by a photo draw at the beginning of each competition day. The draw will take place one hour before the first competition of the day in the press conference room. Please review this document for more information about photo positions and a map of the arena.

Arena Media Seating
Tabled media seating in the arena is directly available through the media workroom (down the curtained hall after the workroom tables).
Non-tabled media seating is available from the main concourse (section 203; rows P, N, M, L; seats 1-13).

Practice Days
Practice on Tuesday and Wednesday will be open to the media at both the Honda Center and Great Park Ice and FivePoint Arena. Athletes may be available for interviews after practice upon request. Please contact a member of the U.S. Figure Skating communications staff to request an interview at either venue. Media are welcome to use the press box to work at Great Park Ice. Internet
WiFi will be available at Honda Center (in press room and in media seating). Instructions on how to access the network will be available onsite. Additionally, the photography work area will have hard line internet access. Photographers wishing to use the hard-line internet access should bring their own ethernet cord.

Media availability
Athletes will go through the mixed zone after both competitive performances and the top three from each segment of competition will be available in a press conference. All additional interview requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please see a member of the U.S. Figure Skating communications staff to make a request.

Press conference schedule
Press conferences will take place after all competition segments, featuring the top-three finishers after the short program/rhythm dance and the gold, silver and bronze medalists after the free skate/dance. All press conferences will take place in the press conference area. Please note all times below are local, approximate and subject to change.

Thursday, Feb. 7
Ladies press conference - Top 3 after short program
Immediately following the ladies free skate draw - Approx. 4 - 4:15 p.m.

Men's press conference - Top 3 after short program
Immediately following the men's free skate draw - Approx. 10:30 - 10:45 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 8
Pairs press conference - Top 3 after short program
Immediately following the pairs free skate draw - Approx. 1:50 - 2:05 p.m.

Ice dance press conference - Top 3 after rhythm dance
Immediately following the free dance draw - Approx. 5:10 - 5:25 p.m.

Ladies press conference - Medalists
Immediately following the ladies awards ceremony - Approx. 11:15 - 11:30 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 9
Pairs press conference - Medalists
Immediately following the pairs awards ceremony - Approx. 4:45 - 5 p.m.

Men's press conference - Medalists
Immediately following the men's awards ceremony - Approx. 11:30 - 11:45 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 10
Ice dance press conference - Medalists
Immediately following the ice dance awards ceremony - Approx. 3:45 - 4 p.m.

Skate Radio
Media members can download the U.S. Figure Skating Fan Zone app (for iOS) for a technical call during the events.

Covering the event
The U.S. Figure Skating communications staff can assist media in covering the event. Results will be available online, but will also be available onsite.

Interview requests should be made using the Interview Request Form (available on the results table). Please give completed form to a member of the U.S. Figure Skating communications staff. Additionally, an allocated interview space is available in the media room for one-on-one interviews.
