U.S. Figure Skating today announced the appointment of Mia Corsini Bailey as its Chief Operating Officer.

Â
In this newly created role, Corsini Bailey will oversee business operations and innovation across the organization, with a focus on figure skating operations, technology, human resources, customer service and organizational efficiency. She will serve on the senior leadership team and help guide the implementation of U.S. Figure Skating's Impact 2030 strategic plan.
Â
"Mia is a proven leader who understands our sport from every angle and knows how to turn vision into action," U.S. Figure Skating Chief Executive Officer Matt Farrell said. "Her deep knowledge of our organization, combined with her operational expertise and strategic mindset, make her the ideal person to help lead U.S. Figure Skating into its next chapter. As we advance our Impact 2030 priorities, Mia will play a critical role in aligning our teams, improving efficiencies and strengthening the foundation of our sport." Â
Â
Corsini Bailey returns to U.S. Figure Skating after serving as Club Director at The Skating Club of Boston, where she managed one of the nation's largest figure skating programs, overseeing strategic growth initiatives and organizational modernization efforts. During her tenure, she led key technology enhancements, revenue-generating initiatives and operational improvements while supporting more than 2,000 members and 4,000 Learn to Skate USA participants.
Â
Previous to this, she spent nearly a decade at U.S. Figure Skating, most recently as Director of Events, where she led the planning and execution of the organization's qualifying pipeline events to the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and established operational frameworks that standardized event management across the sport.
Â
"I'm honored to return to U.S. Figure Skating in this new role," said Corsini Bailey. "This organization has played such an important role in my career, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to help shape what comes next at this pivotal time of growth and impact for U.S. Figure Skating. I'm looking forward to working alongside our staff, athletes, coaches, clubs, officials, and volunteers to continue moving our sport forward."

Corsini Bailey has relocated to U.S. Figure Skating's national headquarters in Colorado Springs, along with her husband David.
