Ashlyn Olson Wins 2022 National Showcase Parade of Champions

Ice House Skating Academy's Ashlyn Olson claimed the 2022 Parade of Champions Richard Dwyer Trophy on Saturday at 2022 National Showcase. Held over six days at AdventHealth Center Ice in Wesley Chapel, Florida, and hosted by the Champions' Edge Skating Club, the event welcomed 458 skaters with a passion for theatrical performance.

Saturday closed out performances with six parades of champions: interpretive, adult, duet-trio, adult duet-trio, junior and senior. Full results from 2022 National Showcase are available here.

Interpretive Parade of Champions
In the interpretive parade of champions, competitors were given a chosen piece of music before stepping on the ice. For this event, skaters had to choreograph a program to "Space Oddity" by David Bowie.

Belle Buehrle (SC of Huntsville) took the gold medal in the event. Starting out her program in a pickle costume, Buehrle skated around with star-shaped sunglasses and little puppets on her hands to simulate a trip to space. She earned 33.77 points for her performance.

Mirielle Chambers (Oval FSC) earned 32.53 points for her program. Dressed in an edgy, gray outfit, Chambers skated around with a plastic ball and used exaggerated expressions and interpretive movements to take the silver medal.

Natallia Anisimava (All Year FSC) took the bronze medal for her interpretation of the music. In her program, the skater acted like she was waking up, unwrapping from a blanket and using a suitcase as a pillow. The comedic performance earned 32.30 points.

Brian Padgett (Red Rose FSC) earned the pewter medal with 32.00 points.

Adult Parade of Champions
Ashlee Pantano's (Ice House Skating Academy) character performance to "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" earned her the adult parade of champions gold medal. Wearing a plaid black and white dress, Pantano skated with grace to earn 42.88 points.

Chloe Pagogna (Ice House Skating Academy) skated an emotional performance to Frank Sinatra's "My Way." Her score of 40.38 earned her the silver medal.

Davin Grindstaff (Burnsville-MN Valley FSC) unleashed a mime character to earn the bronze medal. His performance, which included interpretive movements to modern music, earned 38.38 points.

Justin Ly (Los Angeles FSC) earned the pewter medal with 37.95 points.

Duet-Trio Parade of Champions
Jessica Kemper and Stella Maples (All Year FSC) captured the gold medal in the duet-trio parade of champions. Their gypsy-themed performance featured extravagant emotional expressions and unique choreography to earn 42.73 points.

Chloe, Kat and Emma (Ice House Skating Academy) earned the silver medal with 39.46 points. The trio channeled the town of Duloc from Shrek, and Lord Farquaad skated around with two Duloc characters.

Kyra and Shelby (FSC of Southern California) skated to Cabaret to take the bronze medal with 34.85 points.

Ally and Ella (Ice House Skating Academy) earned the pewter medal with 33.21 points.

Adult Duet-Trio Parade of Champions
Ashlee Pantano and Ashlyn Olson (Ice House Skating Academy) skated an emotional, dramatic duet to "No One Is Alone" from Into the Woods to earn the adult duet-trio parade of champions gold medal. Their strong performance, which featured side-by-side double flip jumps, earned 50.48 points.

Goetz, Turnbull and Lengel (Ice House Skating Academy) earned 28.95 points in their trio program to earn the silver medal. They performed as the three little pigs who weren't afraid of the big bad wolf.

Brandt and Rosenbloom (All Year FSC) performed a German-themed duet to score 27.24 points and capture the bronze medal.

Junior Parade of Champions
Serena Kemble (Space Coast Ice Plex FSC) won the parade of junior champions with a comedic performance about a man with three legs. With a blade attached to the skater's "third leg," Kemble skated around with a smile, earning 36.77 points.

Natallia Anisimava (All Year FSC) captured the silver medal with 34.63 points. Skating to "Copacabana," Anisimava wore a yellow dress and feathers in her hair to take on the persona of Lola.

Sydney Brandt (Chelsea FSC) earned 34.61 points to take the bronze medal. Brandt skated an emotional program to "What The World Needs Now Is Love."

Lexi Galuszka (Ice House Skating Academy) took the pewter medal with 34.11 points.

Senior Parade of Champions
Ashlyn Olson (Ice House Skating Academy) took the gold medal in the parade of champions to close out 2022 National Showcase. Scoring 59.21 points, her choreographic artistry program featured intentional movements that went along with every note in her lyrical music.

Jessica Kemper (All Year FSC) earned the silver medal with 55.11 points. She skated an emotional and powerful program to "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables.

Stella Maples (All Year FSC) earned 51.40 points to take the bronze medal. Wearing a black dress with a flower in her hair, she skated beautifully to "Don't Cry For Me Argentina."

Paige Bartholomew (Ice House Skating Academy) earned the pewter medal with 49.15 points.
