Detroit Skating Club Recognized as ISU Center of Excellence

The Detroit Skating Club was one of 11 global entities that earned the ISU Centers of Excellence (CoE) label for the four-year period of April 2022 to April 2026.

The Detroit Skating Club (DSC) was one of 11 global entities that earned the ISU Centers of Excellence (CoE) label for the four-year period of April 2022 to April 2026.

"The Detroit Skating Club is very honored to receive the Center of Excellence for a second time," said DSC Senior Managing Director Jason Dunjen. "This honor will enable DSC to provide the level of service that our past champions came to expect. We at DSC look forward to partnering with the ISU in helping skaters from all over the world achieve their goals."

The ISU announced today that it received 16 applications and evaluated organizations based on philosophies, coaching, programs, and more. The Detroit Skating Club’s label applies to its singles, pairs, ice dance and synchronized skating programs.

“The ISU CoE serves as a quality label awarded periodically to selected skating entities,” the ISU statement said. “Together the CoEs may form a worldwide training and development network that engages Skaters, Coaches, Officials, and experts in the skating world towards a better fulfillment of their personal and collective development goals.”

ISU Centers of Excellence are skating entities recognized by the ISU for providing high-quality skating services, coaching, training, research, and more. An ISU CoE label gives organizations the ability to act as a development center to host ISU activities and share their practices with other facilities across the globe.
