Media Hospitality

Water and light snacks will be provided Wednesday-Saturday in the media area in section 119.

Mixed Zone

All interaction with athletes and coaches at the 2025 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships will take place in the mixed zone.

To access the mixed zone, media will need to wear a pinny (this will notify security you are allowed to go to the mixed zone on the event level). Pinnies may be picked up in the media area and should be returned each day.

For media going down to the mixed zone, take the elevator or stairs at the Penrose Club (where you entered the arena) down to Level 1 (you will be on Level 2). Follow the signage, taking a right out of the elevator, followed by another right to get to the mixed zone.

Photographer Positions

On-ice positions: Photographers may sit in the stands in sections 119 and 120. All seats are available unless there is a numbered photo sticker on the seat, which means it is reserved. Photographers must enter through section 115-116 and then proceed to section 119 and 120 once in the arena.

Mid-level positions: ADA seats in section 118 (next to DJ Romeo). Photographers must enter through section 115-116 and then proceed to the ADA seats in section 118.

INTERVIEWS

Mixed Zone Interviews

Athletes and coaches will be brought through the mixed zone by request only. Media can submit their requested athletes in person or via email to Kristen Henneman (khenneman@usfigureskating.org). Requested athletes will “come through” the mixed zone after receiving scores. A member of the U.S. Figure Skating communications staff will moderate on-site. The moderator will hold the athlete(s) for a minute in the mixed zone. If there are no questions for a certain athlete, the athlete(s) will be permitted to leave. Please be ready to ask a question after the athlete has received scores.

Please comply with the U.S. Figure Skating Professional Journalism policy

Practice Interviews

Those wishing to interview skaters in the mixed zone after a practice session should email Kristen Henneman (khenneman@usfigureskating.org) at least two hours before the practice session. Athletes will be brought in by request only. We cannot guarantee that athletes will attend practice sessions on any given day. U.S. Figure Skating communications staff will facilitate interviews after practice in the mixed zone. Practice session interviews will NOT be recorded. No interviews will be facilitated following warm-up sessions.

EVENT PHOTOS

U.S. Figure Skating will have photos available for media to use after all competition events. Please send photo requests to Kristen Henneman (khenneman@usfigureskating.org). All photos must be credited to “Cynthia Slawter/U.S. Figure Skating” and must adhere to media usage guidelines (editorial use only, credit must be given).
