A field of more than 430 adult skaters will take the ice to compete at the 30th annual U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships Presented by Prevagen, which is set to take place April 2-5 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
Skaters between the ages of 21 and 86 years old will compete in 137 events across the four-day competition. Athletes will compete in singles, pairs, solo dance, partnered dance, emotional performance and showcase events across three tracks: adult, masters and centennial.
U.S. titles will be awarded in 11 championship events, which begin Friday, April 4 and run through the conclusion of the event on April 5: adult gold women, adult gold men, adult silver women, adult silver men, adult solo dance, adult dance, masters pairs, masters junior-senior women, masters junior-senior men, masters intermediate-novice women and masters intermediate-novice men.
Five reigning gold medalists in championship-level events will return to the competition this year aiming to defend their titles: Kristina Struthwolf-Leato, Michael Solonoski, Jennifer Freedman and Oleg Voyko, Cassandra McNulty and Meghan Lapointe.
Kristina Struthwolf-Leato and Michael Solonoski will both be going for a three-peat in the masters junior/senior women and masters junior/senior men’s events, respectively.
The adult ice dance team of Jennifer Freedman and Oleg Voyko will look to once again claim gold and their sixth consecutive podium finish.
Cassandra McNulty will vie for the top step of the podium in adult gold women while last year’s adult solo dance winner, Meghan Lapointe, has her sights set on back-to-back gold medals.
Also returning this year are seven “lifers” who have competed in every Adult Championships since the event's inception in 1995: Colleen Conroy, Julie Gidlow, Ted Gradman, Walter Horton, Angela Prevost, Thom Mullins and Dorothy Ray.
This year, the Yvonne M. Dowlen Trophy, which is awarded to the oldest competitor, will be presented to 86-year-old Connie Currie. Currie will be competing in the adult bronze emotional performance V and adult bronze lyrical pop/character/comedic V events.
Celebrating its 30th year, 2025 marks the first time the Adult Championships have been held in Minnesota since 2010 with the Twin City Figure Skating Association serving as the host club for the first time.
All events will be livestreamed on the U.S. Figure Skating YouTube Channel.
