U.S. Figure Skating Announces Teams Selected for ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2022

Skyliners junior and Teams Elite have been selected to represent the United States at the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2022 in Innsbruck, Austria, set for March 17-19, 2022.
 

U.S. Figure Skating announced today the two junior teams selected to represent the United States at the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2022 in Innsbruck, Austria, set for March 17-19, 2022.

Skyliners junior out of the SC of New York medaled at their last two ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships appearances, winning silver in 2018 and bronze in 2019. This season, the six-time U.S. junior champions won gold at Mozart Cup.

Teams Elite has also been named to the World Junior team. Based in Northbrook, Illinois, the team won gold at French Cup and bronze at Hevelius Cup, both part of the Challenger Series Synchronized Skating. The 2020 U.S. junior silver medalists finished second in the Challenger Series standings behind Russia's Crystal Ice.

Both of these teams were also named to the team in 2020 but withdrew due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Team Image was named as the first alternate, while the second alternate team will be announced on March 5 at the conclusion of the 2022 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
