Mariah Bell Earns Second Grand Prix Medal at Rostelecom Cup

Mariah Bell earned the bronze medal on Saturday at Rostelecom Cup in Moscow, the fifth stop of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series. The medal, Bell’s second of this season’s Grand Prix Series, was the highlight for the United States this weekend.

Bell earned 138.56 points on Saturday for 205.67 points overall. Bell skated a clean program, landing ten jumps and garnering two Level 4 spins.

Alexandra Trusova and Evegenia Medvedeva of Russia finished first and second, respectively.

In the men’s competition, Alex Krasnozhon finished tenth with 216.28 total points. The Dallas-based athlete earned 140.82 points in his free skate.
Russia’s Alexander Samarin, Dmitri Aliev and Makar Ignatov finished one-two-three.

In pairs, Audrey Lu and Misha Mitrofanov finished eighth overall with 153.61 total points. The duo scored 99.58 points in Saturday’s free skate.

Russia’s Aleksandra Boikova and Dmitrii Kozlovskii and Evegenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov took home the gold and silver medals, respectively, while Germany’s Minerva Fabienne Hase and Nolan Seegert took home the bronze medal.
