Isabeau Levito has withdrawn from the International Skating Union (ISU) Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final due to injury, U.S. Figure Skating announced Tuesday. The Junior Grand Prix Final, set for Dec. 9-12, 2021, in Osaka, Japan, is the culmination of the Junior Grand Prix Series highlighting the top six athletes/teams in each discipline.
Levito is the 2021 U.S. junior champion and made her Junior Grand Prix (JGP) debut this season. The 14-year-old earned the women's title at the JGP event in France and collected the silver medal at JGP Austria. She is scheduled to compete in the championship-level event at the 2022 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Nashville, Tennessee, Jan. 3-9.
The Junior Grand Prix Final will be available live and on-demand on the ISU YouTube page. The event runs in conjunction with the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, which will be broadcast live and on-demand on Peacock Premium. The event will be broadcasted on NBCSN on Saturday, Dec. 11 from 9-11 p.m. ET, and on NBC on Sunday Dec. 12 from 4-6 p.m. ET.
