U.S. Figure Skating has announced the dates and locations of the 2021-22 domestic competition season. All events are being planned currently as in-person events and will adhere to CDC guidelines as well as local and state requirements. 2021 National Qualifying Series (NQS)
The 2021 NQS was previously announced as canceled on March 10, 2021.
Although the 2021 NQS is canceled, each local competition host is encouraged to evaluate the feasibility of their own competition with an emphasis on local athletes, coaches and officials participating. (For LOC resources and sanctioning process, click here).
U.S. Collegiate Championships
The 2021 U.S. Collegiate Figure Skating Championships will be held in conjunction with the Philadelphia Summer Championships hosted by IceWorks SC. Additional information including registration details will be announced in May.

2022 U.S. Figure Skating Qualifying Season
Due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19, the 2022 U.S. Figure Skating Championship Series presented by Toyota will again be used for the 2021-22 season. The series of eight competitions replaces the traditional U.S. Qualifying Season competitions (Challenges and Finals).
Athletes will have the opportunity to compete at up to two competitions in the location of their choice. Advancement to the 2022 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships will be based on each skaters’ highest score earned rather than placement at each competition and the approved advancement criteria can be found here. Qualification to the National High Performance Development Team will also be based on highest score and additional details can be found within the series handbook. Registration for the Series and competitions will begin on Thursday, July 15 at 12:00 p.m. ET via EMS. U.S. Adult Figure Skating Qualifying Season
The 2021 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships, originally planned for April 14-17, is scheduled for June 23-26 in Rochester, Michigan. A final COVID-19 evaluation of the competition’s viability will be made no later than May 10 with registration anticipated to open on May 12 once confirmed.
