The Northernettes earned bronze at their first international event of the season, 2024 Mozart Cup, in Salzburg, Austria.
The Northernettes clinched their second-ever international medal and first since 2022. Their short program to music from "Gloria Regali" was highlighted by a Level 4 intersection and a Level 4 move element, both of which received more than eight points. They finished with a short program score of 65.01.
Going into the free skate in third place, the team’s performance to "Carry You" by Ruelle opened with three level 4 elements – a synchronized spin followed by a move element and a line. They went on to record a free skate score of 110.22 and a total score of 175.23.
The second team representing Team USA, the Starlights, earned a top-five finish.
They ended day one in fourth place after their Wednesday Addams-themed short program tallied a score of 51.20.
Skating to a theme of welcome to the jungle in the free skate, the team opened with a Level 4 synchronized spin. Their highest scoring element was a Level 3 intersection with a Level 3 point of intersection, and they were awarded a free skate score of 87.92. The team finished in fifth place with an overall score of 139.12.
