The Winter World University Games is the largest winter multi-sport collegiate athletic event in the world. The 11-day international festival is an opportunity for student-athletes to showcase their talents in 12 sports. Figure skating events (men’s and women’s singles and ice dance) are an International Skating Union (ISU) event and will be contested under ISU rules at the senior level.

Athletes eligible for U.S. selection must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 18 years old but not older than 25 as of Dec. 31, 2022
  • Must be officially registered with an accredited college or university and proceeding toward a degree or diploma. (There is no minimum of credit hours required.)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

For all events, the selection committee will consider the athletes’ three highest scores from the National Qualifying Series.* Athletes and alternates will be determined upon the conclusion of the last NQS event and verification of the national standings.

*Can be substituted by international competition, if assigned to attend by the International Committee.
