Boston University stood on top of the podium once again, securing their eighth team title at the 2025 National Intercollegiate Final this past weekend at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana.
With their eighth win, Boston made history by setting the record for the most National Intercollegiate Final titles won by a single school. They have won six of the last seven NIF titles.
Boston University won seven events – the most by any school – to tally 263.5 points in total. Paige Dong captured wins in the juvenile solo free dance and juvenile women’s short program.
The Terriers also finished first in the high team maneuvers and low team maneuvers events.
The University of Delaware finished in second place with 255.0 points and six individual wins. Bryan Lehmenn led the way for Delaware, clinching gold in the silver solo pattern dance and the senior championship men’s free skate.
New York University garnered 236.0 points to take home third place, tying their highest-ever finish at the National Intercollegiate Final.
Milly Wasserman and Grace Perkins both captured two wins each. Wasserman won the novice solo free dance and excel preliminary free skate group B events while Perkins secured gold in the intermediate solo free dance and the excel novice women's free skate.
Two Team USA athletes that currently compete collegiately took home titles for their schools. 2022 Olympic team event gold medalist Karen Chen secured gold in the senior solo free dance and pre-gold solo pattern dance to help Cornell University clinch a fifth-place finish while 2022 Four Continents pairs champion Audrey Lu won gold in the senior championships women’s free skate competition.
