Athletes entered in more than 300 starts are sent to compete at the 2022 National Solo Dance Final, which begins this week at The Cube Ice and Entertainment Center in Santa Clarita, California. Hosted by the FSC of Southern California, events will take place from Sept. 7-10.
Qualification for the National Solo Dance Final is based on results from the 2022 Solo Dance Series, which began in March and ended in August. The top 18 skaters in solo pattern dance and combined events as well as the top nine skaters in the shadow pattern dance events receive an invitation to participate in the National Final. More than 790 skaters participated in this year's solo dance series. The solo dance series was introduced in the 2010-11 season.
