2025 National Technical Panel Training and Testing: Singles, Ice Dance (including Solo Dance) and Synchronized Skating

HOTEL INFORMATION
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Colorado Springs, just off I-25, is where all off-ice classes will be located. The hotel is also conveniently located just three blocks away from the World Arena, and within walking distance of several restaurants, shops and a 20-screen theater.

The closest airport to the hotel is the Colorado Springs Municipal Airport (COS), which is approximately seven miles from the hotel. The Denver International Airport (DEN) is approximately 90 miles away.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
- Candidates for singles promotions already holding qualifying or sectional appointments should plan to arrive in time for training to begin at 12 noon Mountain Time on Wednesday, May 14.
- All other candidates for initial certification (all disciplines) or promotion (ice dance, synchronized or data) should plan to arrive in time for training to begin at 8 a.m. Mountain Time on Wednesday, May 14.
- Candidates testing for appointment or promotion should plan to depart no earlier than 2 pm on Saturday, May 17.
- Those who aren’t testing will be able to leave any time on Saturday, May 17.

We also plan to offer an introductory educational session via video conference approximately three or four weeks in advance of the seminar. The session will be recorded for those who can’t attend live.
A more specific agenda will be provided after candidates are officially accepted to the seminar.
Please note that we recommend holding off on booking flights until you are officially accepted to the seminar. If you choose to book your flights earlier, U.S. Figure Skating will not be responsible for any costs you may incur if you are not accepted to the seminar. Also, disciplines may have to be cancelled if we do not receive enough registrations.

Anyone hoping to test for a pairs appointment is encouraged to sign up to test in singles or data.
We encourage people to pick one discipline, as the disciplines all run concurrently; however, if you would like to apply to test in two disciplines or two positions, you must submit a separate application for each.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum requirements to test for an initial appointment and requirements to test for promotion are available here.
COST
- $200 to test for initial certification, a promotion or recertification
- $175 to attend for activity (i.e. technical panel officials already holding an appointment who would like to practice but don't want to test for advancement)
Cost includes:
- National faculty
- More than two days of intensive IJS training
- Testing for certification or advancement
- A reception for officials and coaches
- On-ice sessions with live skating
- The opportunity to network with other officials and coaches
Expenses including travel, hotel and meals are the responsibility of each attendee.

Applications will only be accepted through this online form. Payment will only be requested of those who are accepted after applications have been reviewed and those decisions have been made and communicated.
SPACE IS LIMITED. No one will be notified of acceptance until the deadline has passed and all applications have been reviewed. All applicants will be notified of acceptance no later than March 15, 2025.
