2019 U.S. Synchronized Skating Qualifying Season Begins This Week

(1/29/19) - The 2019 U.S. Synchronized Skating qualifying season begins Jan. 30 – Feb. 2, 2019, with the Eastern, Midwestern, and Pacific Coast Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships. Over 300 teams across 14 divisions (preliminary, pre-juvenile, open juvenile, juvenile, intermediate, novice, junior, senior, collegiate, adult, masters, open collegiate, open adult, open masters) are expected to compete.

The top four finishers from juvenile through senior, collegiate, adult, and masters will qualify to compete at the 2019 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships Feb. 28 – March 2 in Plymouth, Michigan. The 2019 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships is the final qualifying event before U.S. Figure Skating selects the 2019 World Team at the conclusion of the event. The 2019 World Junior Team will be named prior to the start of U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships.

NBC Sports Gold will feature on-demand coverage of all junior, senior and collegiate competitions at the sectional championships. It will also air live coverage of the college, junior and senior collegiate competitions at U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships. All preliminary, pre-juvenile, open juvenile, open adult, open masters, open collegiate, juvenile, intermediate, novice, adult and masters footage from the sectional championships and U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships will be available on-demand on the U.S. Figure Skating Fan Zone. Live results will also be available on the Fan Zone.
