ATHLETE ACCELERATION SUMMIT
U.S. Figure Skating’s High Performance and Athlete Development Departments are excited to announce a brand new camp dedicated to helping athletes improve their performance, personality and poise on ice. For the first time, all four disciplines (singles, pairs, dance and synchronized skating) will be invited to participate in this two-day camp! In a competitive sport, it can be challenging to stand out from the rest.
The Athlete Acceleration Summit is designed to help skaters break away from the pack by bolstering their performance, fortify new techniques and generate effortless movements that ultimately encompass and engaging, passionate and memorable program. Faculty to include world and national coaches, instructors and officials.
Athletes will be divided into groups of approximately 16-20 athletes of similar level, age, and gender and move through group classes. All athletes will have the opportunity to work with the entire faculty; all instruction will be in group format.
Coaches are strongly encouraged to attend. There will be an entire coaches’ track, in addition to coaches having the opportunity to observe their own students and esteemed faculty in several classes.
Parents are also welcome to attend; there will be a separate Parents Information program for all parents attending.
This program is limited to a maximum of 200 athletes, in “Tiers”, based on their program component score at the 2018 Regional, Sectional and/or U.S. Championships, as well as team placement at the 2018 Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships. Please see the registration section for details.
