U.S. Figure Skating’s High Performance and Athlete Development Departments are excited to announce a brand new camp dedicated to helping athletes improve their performance, personality and poise on ice. All four disciplines (singles, pairs, ice dance and synchronized skating) are invited to participate in this two-day camp! In a competitive sport, it can be challenging to stand out from the rest.

The Athlete Acceleration Summit is designed to help skaters break away from the pack by bolstering their performance, fortify new techniques and generate effortless movements that ultimately encompass and engaging, passionate and memorable program. Faculty to include world and national coaches, instructors and officials.

Athletes will be divided into groups of approximately 16-20 athletes of similar level, age, and gender and move through group classes. All athletes will have the opportunity to work with the entire faculty; all instruction will be in group format. 

Coaches are strongly encouraged to attend. There will be an entire coaches’ track, in addition to coaches having the opportunity to observe their own students and esteemed faculty in several classes.

Parents are also welcome to attend; there will be a separate Parents Information program for all parents attending.
This program is limited to a maximum of 200 athletes – 160 girls and 40 boys.

All athlete classes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be held at the Great Park Ice & FivePoint Arena.

A room block will be selected around the Irvine Spectrum (a large shopping center with many restaurants) for participants. Stay tuned as more information to book a room will be coming soon.


Participants should fly into the John Wayne International Airport (SNA) which is approximately 9.1 miles from the rink. The hotel we select will be within a few miles from the arena. There are many nearby restaurants that can be accessed by rental car and Uber.


Athlete who have competed at the Juvenile level or higher in singles, pairs, ice dance and synchronized skating are eligible to register for the 2019 Athlete Acceleration Summit.

All registrations are considered final. Refunds, minus $100 processing fee, will be allowed until April 1, 2019 due to documented injuries, medical conditions or family emergencies. There will be no refunds for no-shows the week of camp.

U.S. Figure Skating is pleased to announce an official “boys only” Icemen track, open to a maximum of 40 boys. The boys will be divided into two teams, by age and skating level. All athletes must also be current members of the Icemen Program. To register for Icemen, click here.

Scholarships are being offered to boys participating in the Icemen Network. To receive the scholarship, athletes much have competed in the 2019 Regional or Sectional Figure Skating Championships*, in the juvenile, intermediate, novice or junior men or have plans to compete in the 20019 U.S. Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships.
