2017 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships This Week in Wake Forest, North Carolina

(4/18/17) - The 2017 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships, hosted by the Triangle Figure Skating Club, will take place April 18-22 at the Polar Ice House in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The U.S. Adult Championships, which have been held annually since 1994, will feature nearly 400 athletes competing in more than 100 events.

Competitors at the U.S. Adult Championships are divided into five age groups (21-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65, 66+) and two tracks (masters and adults). Events are held in singles, pairs and ice dance, and in dramatic and light entertainment. Athletes qualify for championship events by placing in the top four at one of three sectional championships held earlier this year.

This year's championship events feature three-time reigning U.S. championship adult ice dance champions Shay Sterlace and Yovanny Durango, reigning U.S. championship masters junior-senior ladies champion Regan Alsup, reigning U.S. championship masters junior-senior men’s champion Daniel Palmeri and reigning U.S. championship masters pairs champions Kimberly Sailer and David Garber.

Starting at $20 per day, tickets are available at the Polar Ice House box office.
