(11/14/12) - Five U.S. athletes will compete at 2012 Trophee Bompard, the fifth of six events on the 2012 ISU Grand Prix Series, Nov. 16-18, in Paris.

NBC will broadcast Trophee Bompard coverage of the ladies and men's free skates from 2-4 p.m. (ET) on Sunday, Nov. 18. Universal Sports will provide additional coverage of the singles, pairs and dance events throughout the weekend. Terry Gannon, Michael Weiss and Tara Lipinski make up NBC's announce team.

Icenetwork.com will provide news, photos and more from both events. On-demand video of Trophee Bompard will be available to Season Pass subscribers approximately seven days following the conclusion of the event.

Ladies
Ashley Wagner leads Team USA into Paris. The 2012 U.S. and Four Continents champion earned her first career Grand Prix gold medal at 2012 Hilton HHonors Skate America earlier this fall. She will be joined once again by Christina Gao, who won her first career Grand Prix medal, the silver at Skate America.

Men
Jeremy Abbott also began his season at Skate America where he placed fifth. The reigning U.S. champion will compete for the first time at Trophee Bompard. Johnny Weir was scheduled to compete but withdrew Tuesday due to a hip injury suffered at 2012 Rostelecom Cup last weekend.

Ice dancing
Madison Hubbell and Zach Donohue, the 2012 U.S. bronze medalists, opened their season with a fifth-place showing at Skate Canada in late October.

The Grand Prix Series, now in its 18th season, consists of six international events in a cumulative point-scoring format. Approximately 300 athletes from 30 countries are expected to participate in the series. Each athlete is eligible to score points in up to two of the six scheduled events. The top six point-earners in each discipline qualify for the 2012 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, set for Dec. 6-9, in Sochi, Russia, home of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. Athletes will compete for a total of more than $1.35 million in prize money throughout the series.
