Team USA Earns Several Medals in Two International Events this Week

Joshua Farris will qualify for the 2012 JGP Final, an event where he is the reigning bronze medalist, thanks to a pair of gold medals at this competition and JGP United States. He totaled 211.21 points at JGP Slovenia.
Barbie Long earned her first career JGP medal, the silver, on Saturday in Slovenia. The 2012 U.S. junior pewter medalist placed second in both segments of competition and totaled 147.19 points. Teammate Courtney Hicks fell just short of earning her second medal of the season and finished fourth. She is the JGP United States silver medalist.
Caydee Denney & John Coughlin the 2012 U.S. champions, earned their second straight Nebelhorn medal, the silver, and improved a spot over last season. They finished behind 2012 World silver medalists Tatiana Volosozhar & Maxim Trankov of Russia.
Keegan Messing now owns a pair of senior international medals after winning gold at 2011 Cup of Nice. Team USA finished three-four in the men's event with Stephen Carriere placing a close fourth.
Madison Chock & Evan Bates earned their team's first gold medal, totaling 147.79 points in Germany. They opened the season with a fourth-place showing at the 2012 U.S. International Figure Skating Classic two weeks ago.
