Sites Announced for 2013, '14 Adult Qualifying Competitions

(8/8/12) - U.S. Figure Skating announced today the sites for the 2013 and '14 adult skating qualifying competitions, including Scottsdale, Ariz., as the host of the 2013 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships, and Hyannis, Mass., as the host of the 2014 U.S. Adult Championships.

The U.S. Adult Championships, which have been held annually for 18 years, traditionally features upward of 450 skaters competing in more than 170 events.

Competitors at the U.S. Adult Championships are divided into five age groups (21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61+) and two tracks (masters and adults). Events are held in singles, pairs, ice dancing and interpretive. Skaters qualify for the championship and championship gold events at the U.S. Adult Championships by placing in the top four at one of three sectional championships.
